Hi I'm
Keshav Babu.

A Little About Me

Hi! I am currently a sophmore at Michigan State University

planning on majoring in Computer Science and Math.

picture of me!

Currently, I'm developing projects and learning as much as I can about industry-level software engineering while fueling my passion for using my skills to make life easier and more enjoyable for me and my friends. The past couple years I have spent exploring different aspects of Engineering that helped me understand more about computers and the future of technology (AI and Machine Learning and all that cool stuff).

The projects I have here are the ones I'm most passionate about and all of them have a reason for why I made them. I hope one day to be able to say that I get to do what I love as my career and I'm extremely excited to see what the future has for me.

DraftNight

Free. Simple. Aesthetic. Enjoy the draft without the hassle

Web App NodeJS React Javascript/JQuery HTML/CSS

As I got more into football and fantasy sports, I sat with my friends every year experiencing our "homemade" draft that consisted of a google sheet attempting to track each pick and the organise the information about each player. Every year someone else in my friend group would have to run the draft and it became more of a job rather than a fun night.

DraftNight is a web app that allows people to easily draft for fantasy football and then allows for easy exporting of the data to make the job of the league manager a lot easier.

Auto-Updating Players

Current year player data is pulled automatically which avoids having to compile a list of the current years fantasy players by hand

MacroTracker

Complex Tracking, Simplified

iOS App Swift

During quarantine, I started going to the gym since my Track and Field season was cancelled. Tracking Macronutrients is one aspect of working out that I always struggled with in my first year and the existing apps did little to help me as a beginner. I spent hours and hours researching what the best types of food to eat and the ideal amount of food I should be eating.

MacroTracker is an app I built to help beginners start out at the gym without making it complicated. It tracks macronutrients and calories easily by a simple search bar and 1 click.

ESHA Reasearch API Integration

All data is pulled straight from the ESHA database which is a very large collection of nutritional information that is used by apps such as MyFitnessPal

CampusTutor

SpartaHack 2022 Winner "Best Hack for Education"

Learn from people you know

Web App Python Flask HTML/CSS Javascript MySQL

I have seen firsthand very intelligant students have their GPA be ruined by a professor or lack of resources. There are so many students around the world learning exactly what you may be learning right now. So why is it sometimes so difficult to find information?

CampusTutor makes student to student connections to allow everyone to learn from as well as teach their peers. it only seems best to learn from others who have figured it out and mastered it in a way that you would understand.

Auth0 Integration

Storing passwords is something I will always attempt to avoid. It is pointless to make somebody yet another account when they already have so many. Auth0 allows us to say that we store absolutely no passwords!

LearnC++

Putting more emphasis on intro in "intro course"

Website Azure HTML/CSS NodeJS Javascript/JQuery

My first year at Michigan State I took the introductory course for Computer Science. During my time in this course and talking to my peers I found that many people were not doing very well in it. My disappointment in the course peaked when I heard a lot of kids saying that they might switch their major because of the difficulty.

LearnC++ is a simple website that goes over the basics of C++ and helps you understand it on a fundamental level. It explains all of the concepts in layman's terms which are perfect for even the complete beginner.

Azure Integration

I built this project alongside learning Azure and NodeJS. I spent a lot of my time during this project immersing myself into both of these tools and eventually ended up earning my Azure Fundamentals certification.

This Site

Connecting me to you!

Website HTML/CSS Javascript/JQuery

As I was writing my resume I realised how difficult it was to be able to explain all of my projects in such a formal method. With all of the complexity that you can find in each person I don't feel that limiting all of your professional life to a resume does the applicant nor the employer any favors.

I made this website with a personal connection in mind. I hope that you are able to view all of my projects in a way that is enjoyable and informative.

Front-End Development

This website was my way of learning the more advanced aspects of HTML, CSS, and Javascript/JQuery. I built it from scratch hoping to learn as much as possible along the way. My goal is to make it as aesthetic and pleasing to the eye as possible while still being able to deliver all the information somebody would want to know about me. I hope you like it!
